2009-10-13 - Oerlikon starts into mechatronics with Espace®

October 2009:

The Oerlikon Saurer Group has connected their planing sectors E and M with the mechatronics modeller Espace® .

The Oerlikon Sauer -a subsidiary of Oerlikon Textile GmbH & Co. KG - has decided to use the mechatronics modeller Espace®  for the virtual planing of their textile machines.

The goal is to get processing data ilike ready-made cable, tube length and mass more quickly. To do so the 3D machine wiring, tubing cabinet layout is done in a rational form.

For the first time a combined work-flow for the mechatronics system engineer is developed between the M CAD tool SolidWorks and the many years used E CAD System ESplan® .
